Ruthinium in schools is a project born in 2014 and involves a series of educational and cultural activities in Italian dental schools.
The activities, entirely free of charge for the schools participating in the project, are as follows:
- Guided tours by students from dental technology schools of our Badia Polesine production plant:
How an artificial resin tooth is made, from receipt of the raw material to packaging and all the production processes. - Workshops in thelaboratories of dental schools The workshops are held by opinion leader dental technicians and are divided into two parts:
A theoretical part, where the opinion leader dental technician talks to the audience of students, with the help of slides, about the most advanced techniques for the production of total dentures, and a practical part in which the dental technician demonstrates in practice what was said in the theoretical phase. All participating students receive a certificate of attendance.
- Theoretical-practical courses in the laboratories of dental schools
The theoretical-practical courses, held by opinion leaders, consist of a theoretical and a practical part. During the theoretical part the opinion leader lectures the students on the most advanced techniques for the fabrication of total dentures. In the practical phase all the students participating in the course are asked to make an assembly according to what the opinion leader explains during the theory phase. The opinion leader dental technician follows the students during the fabrication of the assembly.
All participating students receive a certificate of attendance.
- Ruthinium Trophy, national competition for the fabrication of mobile prostheses
Competition for the fabrication of mobile prostheses at participating schools. Each participating school is asked to present two students per fifth grade class who, on dates agreed with Dental Manufacturing SpA Ruthinium Group, will carry out the assembly independently under the supervision of the laboratory teacher.
